September 9, 2025 – Watch booklife by Publishers Weekly‘s latest video, “Secrets of Great Cover Design: Advice for New Authors,” featuring Richard speaking about working with cover designer Laura Duffy on “A Friend of Dorothy’s.”

September 5, 2025 – Richard’s piece, “A Canadian in Tinsel Town,” is published on the Canadian Writers Abroad web site.

AUGUST

August 26, 2025 – Laura Duffy‘s fantastic cover for Richard’s “A Friend of Dorothy’s” is one of the featured covers in “Cover Crush: Striking Indie Designs That Tell a Story” on the booklife by Publishers Weekly web site.

JULY

July 13  – Richard did a joint reading with his longtime friend and colleague playwright Leigh Curran at the Bureau of General Services—Queer Division in NYC. The event can be viewed on the Bureau’s YouTube channel.

JUNE

June 16, 2025 – “The Long Road to Magic” – Richard spoke about writing his lost novel of the eighties and its eventual publication in 2025 to the West Hollywood Toastmasters. (Now on YouTube.)

June 15, 2025 – More than thirty years after being completed, A FRIEND OF DOROTHY’S, Richard’s lost coming of age novel of the eighties is published by The Magic Show Press.
